A Shadow Day Visit is an excellent way for prospective students to experience Archmere's programs and curriculum. During their Shadow Day, 8th Graders will engage in classes, meet students and get to know teachers. Inquire online to schedule your Shadow Day Visit and experience for yourself what makes Archmere unique.

How and when do you arrange a visit?
Beginning in early fall through the spring, you can schedule a Shadow Day by filling out an Inquiry Form online. Anyone who inquires has access to a School Admin Candidate Page and can schedule visits. If you still have questions, call the Admissions Office at 302-798-6632 x706. -
How will I find out who I am shadowing?
Students can select their shadow buddy by filling out the shadow form. Otherwise, they will be paired with a student based on their interests. -
Should students bring lunch with them?
Archmere has a fully outfitted café offering a wide variety of lunch and snack items daily in the McLaughlin-Mullen Student Life Center, and is happy to provide lunch to its visiting students. -
What should visiting students wear on visit days?
Please dress appropriately and comfortably. We ask that students not wear jeans or sneakers. Your shadow confirmation message will include more details. -
When and where should students arrive the morning of the visit day?
Students are asked to arrive at the main office in the Student Life Center between 7:45 am and 8:00 am. -
When and where should students be picked up the afternoon of the visit day?
Pick up is at 2:30 pm. Follow the signs to The Patio for Shadow Day Pickup. Click here for an informative video on where to drop your child off in the morning, and where to pick them up in the afternoon. -
Who visits Archmere for the day?
Eighth grade or potential transfer students are welcomed and encouraged to spend the day and experience Archmere firsthand.
I felt incredibly welcome at Archmere Academy. I was able to see many classes and believe that they would challenge me to excel. It is definitely a top choice for my High School after visiting today.
